Our client is looking for an experienced Caretaker who has experience in all aspects of Maintenance and Caretaker work.
You will be working in a large block of high end apartments, of which the standards of work are always required.
Hours of work - 0700 until lunchtime
Monday to Friday
Check all communal doors on a daily basis before leaving to make sure they are all locked and secure.
Ensure communal staircase windows are closed at the beginning and end of every shift.
Provide access to contractors to the building and flats when required.
Check with client before releasing keys to anyone.
Record all key handling on key log book and making sure they are signed off each time.
Electricity meters are in the cupboard under the staircase. We will take readings and pass on to residents when required.
Daily sweeping/cleaning the pathways and entrance steps.
Clean glass on the entrance doors whenever entering or leaving the building. Window sills, handrails, thresholds, lintels and flat doors are dusted on your way up and down the building.
Communal carpets to be vacuum cleaned once per week on all floors and ground floor lobbies to be vacuumed and mopped daily.
Brass plagues and plates to be polished daily.
Carpet Deep Cleaning
Shampoo clean the carpet annually and spot clean carpets to remove stains whenever required.
To be carried out to front boundary walls and pathways periodically.
Litter picking to be carried out daily. All the front and back gardens should be checked and litter free.
Report when gardening company attends site.
Inspect pathways and gutters to report for weeds and clear any weeds by hand or debris if possible or advise gardening company when on site.
Change communal light bulbs whenever noticed any broken bulbs.
Record in the notebook each time a light bulb is replaced.
Ladders to be checked regularly and every time before being used.
