Sales and Resident Life Manager

Our site in Porto is a unique offering and requires a strong Sales and Resident Life Manager to be the vibrant and energetic face of the site. The role will need a hospitality-led and customer focused approach with a real passion for sales. Creating a sense of community amongst the residents will be a key aim in this position. The successful candidate will need to show the initiative of a self-starter while having excellent communication skills. The Sales and Resident Life Manager will play a key role in selling the property during the mobilisation phase and creating community engagement once operational.

The Tasks

• Ensuring a welcoming environment to residents, parent and visitors
• Managing showroom and liaising with contractors
• Responding to tenant queries throughout the academic year to ensure exceptional service levels
• Marketing and promotion of the accommodation
• Contribute to the development of company sales and marketing initiatives by recommending, implementing and monitoring appropriate site activity
• Conducting tours of the residence and effectively selling our product to prospective residents, ensuring a high conversion rate is achieved and leads are continually followed up on
• Building an excellent in-house community, by developing, writing and delivering the Resident Engagement Plan and ensuring events are delivered to the highest standards
• Creating an exceptional resident experience
• Maintaining brand awareness and creating a community feel within the site via the organisation of events and promotions
• Responding to all new enquiries, ensuring that these are answered in a timely and professional manner
• Demonstrating product knowledge, ensuring that the core values of the business are reflected through outstanding service
• Working closely with the client team and CRM Students team
• Work towards university, 3rd party and referral agent agreements
• Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the senior management team
• Build and maintain relationships with the university accommodation offices, and all 3rd parties and agents that provide sales leads

Skills & Attributes

• Experience with students preferred but not essential
• Experience of working within the hospitality sector preferred
• Excellent communication skills displaying sensitivities to and understanding residents needs
• Sales focused
• Self-motivated and results driven
• Strong local knowledge
• Good level of computer literacy using Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be pro-active and able to use initiative in order to make the site the best available
• Bi-lingual Portuguese and English speaker required
• Knowledge of the local community and city wide knowledge
